Klipsch has announced an update to its R-41PM desk speaker, creating the R-40PM. And you can cross an amplifier or AV/receiver off your shopping list - these are active speakers.
A two-channel amplifier located in the primary speaker - a 35 Wpc R-40PM - connects to the second speaker's standard speaker wire (supplied) to remind us that these new Klipsches are active speakers, but they also switched to passive mode to split the signal between the two the drivers thus becoming passive speakers.
