Adaptive Sound Control is a smart feature that senses where you are and what you're doing, then adjusts your surround sound settings for the perfect listening experience. Once activated, it will learn your behavior and recognize the places you frequent, such as your workplace or your favorite coffee shop, and adjust the sound according to the environment.

Handy daily Speak-to-Chat feature

As soon as you start a conversation, the Speak-to-Chat feature automatically pauses the music and lets in the surrounding sounds – handy if you don't want to take off your headphones or want to talk hands-free. With built-in microphones and an advanced audio signal processing system, this smart feature can recognize and respond to your voice. When the call ends, the music automatically resumes.

Quick access to your favorite music

With Quick Access, you can configure the headphones to resume playing music from Spotify with two or three taps — no need to touch your smartphone.

Voice control

Get help hands-free - just say "Hey Google" or "Alexa" to activate your preferred voice assistant. Listen to music, connect with friends, receive messages, set reminders, and more. Check how safe you are listening to music by comparing the sound pressure data recorded by your headphones against World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. Receive operating system notifications when the volume level is too high.

Multipoint connection

For maximum convenience, these Bluetooth® headphones can be paired with two Bluetooth devices at the same time. When you receive an incoming call, the headset detects which device is calling and automatically connects to the correct device. You can also quickly switch your headphones to either of these two devices with the touch of a button.

Find your headphones using the Fast Pair feature

The WH-1000XM5 model headphones support Google's useful new Fast Pair feature. You can easily determine where you left your headphones by calling them or checking their last known location on your smartphone using the Google Find My Device app.

The Swift Pair feature makes it quick and easy to pair your headset with a Windows 11 or Windows 10 laptop, desktop or tablet. When pairing mode is selected, nearby Windows 11 or Windows 10 operating system devices display pop-up pairing instructions.

Fast charging for the whole day

The battery provides an excellent 30 hours of operation, so you'll have enough charge even on long trips. When you need a quick charge, you can charge for 3 hours of operation in just 3 minutes using the separately sold USB-PD compatible AC adapter.
